DiSEqC

Digital Satellite Equipment Control - A communication platform for satellite receivers and equipment (usually a satellite dish) via the existing coaxial cable. The DiSEqC specifications were formed to replace existing analogue switches and provide a non-proprietary digital standard. FTA receivers use DiSEqC switches and standard switches such as SW-21 and SW-44 are not compatible. DiSEqC is a registered trademark of eutelsat.
